A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to resume milling, paving, and roadway rehabilitation work along a section of Interstate 24 in Livingston County with a traffic shift on Friday.

This milling, paving, and roadway rehabilitation project along I-24 runs from near the Tennessee River Bridge, extending eastward to near the Cumberland River Bridge, a distance of just over four miles.

The work zone connects with a work zone at the 29 mile marker for rehabilitation work on the I-24 Tennessee River Bridge.

Westbound traffic will move to the right-hand or driving lane within the work zone to allow milling crews to work along the passing lane.

Eastbound motorists should be alert for a paving crew placing a base course of asphalt along the eastbound lanes from about 4 am to about 2 pm Friday.
