The victim has now been identified following the explosion that leveled a house in Energy, Illinois, on Tuesday.

Investigators are still looking for the cause of the blast that claimed the life of David Turner. Turner’s family identified him to KFVS. Reportedly, a witness who arrived on the scene just after the explosion ran into the debris in an attempt to locate Turner.

WFCN reported that the call came in just after 7 p.m. Tuesday about the explosion that happened at a home near the intersection of West McGinnis and College Streets. Two people at nearby homes were found to have some minor injuries, including an older neighbor who was knocked off their feet by the blast.

Still no word on the cause of the explosion, but investigators say preliminary evidence is consistent with a propane or natural gas incident. The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State Fire Marshal’s Office, and other agencies are continuing to investigate.
