An overturned dump truck caused problems along KY 453 in Livingston County and the driver was taken to the hospital.

The crash happened at about 6:50 a.m. along Dover Road near Jake Dukes Road, just down the hill from Hometown Market. The Livingston County Sheriff's Office said that a dump truck driven by 80-year-old Lewis Tucker of Mayfield was traveling southbound on KY 453 when the tires on the right side of the truck dropped off the edge of the road. Tucker reportedly overcorrected and the truck rolled over on the driver's side spilling a load of gravel.

The crash forced the closure of that segment of KY 453 for several hours while the truck was righted and the scene cleared.

Tucker was taken to Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital for treatment of some injuries. The roadway reopened just after 11 a.m.
