Paducah is in the Final Four of a competition to select the best Main Street in the South.

The bracket-style competition pits some of the top downtowns in communities all over the southern part of the United States. Garden & Gun Magazine is the host for the challenge, and voters can cast their vote for Paducah once an hour. Everyone has until Thursday to vote before the final two will battle for the championship.

Paducah was one of sixteen cities selected for the competition based on “community-minded layouts, wealth of independent businesses, historical significance, and overall good vibes.”

Paducah beat out Franklin, Tennessee, and Natchitoches, Louisiana, to get to the Final Four versus Deland, Florida.

The other semifinalists are Blowing Rock, North Carolina versus Fredericksburg, Virginia.

If Paducah moves on to the Championship Round, voting will begin on Friday. The winner will be announced on April 8th.
