A man wanted in connection with a shooting in Paducah has been arrested in Illinois.
On Tuesday detectives from the Paducah Police Department, the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and the Kankakee Police Department, located and apprehended Cortez Gray in Kankakee, Illinois.
Gray was wanted by the Paducah Police Department in connection with an incident that occurred on April 19 in which officers responded to reports of multiple individuals exchanging gunfire on Ohio Street. Police said witnesses told them two groups had started arguing when a man, identified as Gray, fired over 10 rounds at the other group.
Gray was arrested on a warrant charging him with wanton endangerment and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. He was lodged into the Jerome Combs Detention Center in Kankakee, Illinois.
