Scattered showers will move through the quad state today, with a thunderstorm or two.

Rain chances on Memorial Day will be higher in western Kentucky, and lower to the northwest. Once again, a few thunderstorms will be possible during the afternoon.

Over the coming week, daily rains will produce on average one half to one inch of rainfall. The best rain chances, including heavier rain chances, will be Tuesday and Friday.

Weeklong temperatures will spend the majority of their time in the 60s at night and 70s during the day, though official high temperatures may reach toward or into the lower 80s briefly.

Paducah's historical average high for the last week of May is 82 degrees.
