Suspect in Paducah weekend shooting arrested

A suspect sought in a shooting early Sunday morning in Paducah was arrested Tuesday.

Paducah Police said 23-year-old Tayjuan A. Kelly of River Oaks Boulevard was arrested Monday night at a residence.

Police were called Sunday at 2:45 am in connection with the report of a single gunshot in the 900 block of Boyd Street.

While moving through the crowd, officers heard additional gunshots and ran toward the sound of them to locate the shooter and anyone injured.  They learned one person had been taken to a local hospital.

During the investigation, it was learned Kelly was the shooter.  

Kelly is charged with assault and three counts of wanton endangerment.  He is in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
