Section of Friedman Lane closed for storm pipe replacement

A section of Friedman Lane is closed for the replacement of a deteriorated storm pipe. 

The project was originally scheduled to begin in early April but was postponed due to heavy rain.

The closure begins at the intersection with US 60 and ends at Paducah Fire Station #3.

During the project, turning lanes on US 60 will be blocked to traffic. The closure does not affect access to businesses along US 60. All businesses have alternate driveways for access.

Contractors will replace 256 linear feet of pipe with a 48-inch diameter concrete pipe. The work also involves the reconstruction of three concrete structures.

The work is expected to take about ten days to complete.
