A Texas man was arrested twice in Lyon County over the Memorial Day weekend.

The Lyon County Sheriff and a deputy were called about an allegedly intoxicated subject at a business in Eddyville on Sunday. According to the report, 42-year-old Richard Pruneda of Edingburg, Texas made "alarming" statements to an employee after driving himself to the business. Pruneda was charged with DUI, his vehicle was impounded, and he was booked into the Crittenden County Detention Center.

Then on Memorial Day, after bonding out of jail, Pruneda called the Sheriff's Office from his motel to ask for personal items from his impounded vehicle. When the Sheriff went to inventory and collect the items, he reportedly found cocaine among items in the trunk of Pruneda's car. Eddyville Police were called to assist. They went to the motel and arrested Pruneda again.

Pruneda was charged with possession of cocaine and taken back to the Crittenden County Detention Center.
