Authorities patrolling Paducah's Alben Barkley Drive early Friday morning arrested three people on drug and other charges.
Police were on patrol just before 3 a.m. when they noticed a running vehicle parked near a convenience store with three people sleeping inside.
They said a check showed the car had been stolen from Illinois.
After checking on the passengers, the driver, 35-year-old Jonathan E. Sarolas, was allegedly found to be under the influence. Sarolas was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Illinois.
Police said they uncovered five needles believed to contain methamphetamine, used needles in the floorboard, and about $1,400 worth of merchandise that was believed to be stolen.
One passenger, 54-year-old Donald Gibbs, reportedly admitted to using meth with Sarolas.
Sarolas, Gibbs, and 39-year-old Hillery Sarolas were arrested and taken to the McCracken County Jail.
