Three people were arrested Thursday during covert drug investigations in Paducah and McCracken County.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, Damon L. Stigger, Eric D. McCarty and Stevie R. Tidwell are charged with trafficking large amounts of illegal drugs.

Detectives said they bought crystal methamphetamine from McCarty and Stigger, and seized drugs from an apartment where Tidwell was located. The three arrests took place at three different locations.

McCarty was reportedly in possession of approximately 224 grams of meth at the time of his arrest.

Detectives said Stigger was arrested after a brief police chase. Detectives reported finding cocaine and money believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales. When Stigger was searched at the McCracken County Jail, deputies said they found more bags of cocaine during a body cavity search.

Detectives said their investigation showed that McCarty and Stigger were working together to sell large amounts of illegal drugs, and that an apartment on Cherry Circle was being used to stash illegal drugs and money.

During the search of that apartment, detectives said they found Tidwell inside along with approximately 5.5 pounds of crystal meth, cocaine, marijuana and $7,980 believed to be the proceeds of illegal drug sales.

Stigger, McCarty and Tidwell were booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.
