Three arrested in connection with Cairo Road robbery investigation

Three people were taken into custody last week in connection with a robbery investigation.

Paducah Police said Monday the investigation began last month when officers responded to a reported robbery in the 2000 block of Cairo Road.  

Officers learned the victim had been assaulted behind a local business and his phone was stolen. The suspects fled the area in a white passenger car. The victim suffered injuries to his face, but refused medical attention.

The suspects were identified as 20-year-old Quante L. Askew of Paducah who was charged with robbery,  18-year-old Janiyah N. McCray and 34-year-old Stephanie N. McCray both of Metroplis who were both charged with complicity to commit robbery.

The trio were lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
