A tip to the Graves County Sheriff's Office led to a search and drug trafficking arrest in Symsonia on Saturday.
Deputies were tipped off to possible drug activity at a home on McGuire Road in Symsonia. The resident, 49-year-old Carl L. McGuffie who is reportedly on probation for drug-related charges, cooperated with the investigation.
A search of the home allegedly located 3.6 grams of methamphetamine, an amphetamine pill, 20 glass-style used meth pipes, a handgun, scales, and baggies typically used in selling meth.
McGuffie was arrested and charged with firearm-enhanced trafficking in methamphetamine, firearm-enhanced possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
McGuffie was taken to an out-of-county facility after a trip to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center.
