A vehicle stopped after speeding through Livingston and Lyon Counties ends in the arrest of two Washington men and the confiscation of a pound of cocaine.

Kentucky State Police stopped the vehicle along I-24 for a speeding violation. During the stop, troopers asked for and were granted permission to search the car.

That search allegedly uncovered the cocaine, a large sum of money, and a handgun.

The two men, 25-year-old Pedro Samario Irias Lopez and 31-year-old Ever Jasiel Lopez Escoto of Shoreline, Washington, were arrested and taken to the Crittenden County Jail.

Lopez was charged with enhanced trafficking and possession of a concealed handgun.

Escoto was charged with complicity to trafficking.
