Saturday turned out to be a great day to drive a tractor across Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake.
In fact, 27 tractors did just that during a special event held by the West Kentucky Antique Power Association.
Members unloaded their tractors at Canton and traveled single file across LBL on US 68 over the bridge at Fenton, then on to Kenlake State Resort park for lunch before their return trip. One tractor also pulled a large covered wagon filled with spectators and family members to bring total attendance to more than 60 participants.
The club's Facebook page notes that they've been putting together drives like this since the 1990s in different locations.
Video of the event is available on the "Travelin' the Bluegrass" Facebook page, as will more details about the event during Alan Watts' statewide agriculture broadcast, heard weekday mornings on 93.3 WKYQ and Willie 102.
