Underwear-clad man charged with disturbances on streets of Kuttawa

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office received multiple 911 calls on Saturday night about a man wearing only underwear causing disturbances in Kuttawa. 

The first callers said a man was running and yelling up and down Vista Drive. As deputies arrived, more calls put the man near Gum Street.

Callers told dispatchers the man took a bicycle from a child, attempted to climb into an SUV stopped on the street, and allegedly chased down a juvenile on an ATV then tried to take the 4-wheeler.

The man was identified as 38-year-old Brian H. McCree of Bowling Green, and formerly of Marion, Ky.

Investigators learned McCree had been visiting a female at a Kuttawa apartment before he was arrested.

Police searched her apartment and said they found suspected methamphetamine and marijuana.

Forty-three-year-old LaShawna Steward was arrested in connection with the drugs found in the apartment.

McCree was booked into the Crittenden County Detention Center. His charges included public intoxication, disorderly conduct, assault and menacing.
