West Kentucky Community and Technical College will honor more than 900 candidates for graduation Saturday at its spring commencement at the Carson Center.
Dr. Chrystal Henderson will be the featured graduation speaker, held at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
The student speaker will be McCracken County resident Michelle Graves, recently named to the 2022 KCTCS All-Academic Team.
Dr. Henderson is no stranger to Paducah, as she is a graduate of Heath High School and Paducah Community College. Currently, she is a colonel in the US Air Force, where she is Director of Medical Operations for the Department of Air Force Inspection Agency.
Graves' advice for her fellow students is, "Take the time to connect with those around you and be curious. You never know who, what or where you'll find the puzzle piece that connects everything. Just take a small step towards your goals."
