A wanted Arlington man was arrested Thursday for a probation violation and faced new drug charges, according to the Carlisle County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies said a warrant was issued for 32-year-old Kevin Gorham of Arlington on July 20 for an alleged probation violation. The alleged probation violation occurred in Union County, where State Police arrested Gorham on July 16 for operating a motor vehicle under the Influence of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended license.
Deputies said on Thursday, Gorham was seen driving a motorcycle on Highway 80 West in Arlington. When a deputy attempted to pull him over, Gorham fled. According to authorities, the pursuit continued through Carlisle County and ended when Gorham failed to negotiate a curve in Hickman County.
They said after he wrecked the motorcycle, he fled again, this time on foot and hid behind a tree. That's where Gorham was located and taken into custody. Deputies reportedly found a bag containing meth and a pipe before Gorham was taken to a local hospital to treat possible injuries.
He was treated and released from the hospital and taken to McCracken County Regional Jail on charges of probation violation, fleeing or evading police, possession of methamphetamine and wanton endangerment. Gorham also faces possible charges in Hickman county.
