Watch for icy conditions on elevated surfaces this morning

Last night's winter precipitation was highly variable across the Quad State, resulting in highly variable road conditions.

The bulk of the problems will be focused on bridges, overpasses, untreated roads, and sidewalks. Temperatures are expected to climb to the freezing mark or a few degrees higher, which should lead to improvement of any icy road conditions.

Any moisture that is left on road surfaces this evening will freeze, resulting in possible black ice tonight into Wednesday morning.
