Brookport Bridge still closed

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reports that the Brookport Bridge is still closed this morning.

The bridge was closed as of Saturday afternoon in anticipation of the weekend ice storm.

The bridge has a metal grated deck that cools down quickly when temperatures drop and allows ice to form on the steel.

KYTC will announce when the bridge will reopen to traffic.
