Horse and buggy crash in Trigg County injures one

A Wednesday morning crash involving a horse and buggy in Trigg County sent one man to a Nashville hospital.

The Trigg County Sheriff's Department was called to Buffalo Cerulean Road for the single-vehicle crash.

Deputies said that the horse was spooked by something and pulled the buggy off the side of the road. The buggy driver, Lawrence Burkholder, was thrown. 

Burkholder was flown to a hospital in Nashville for treatment of a head injury.
