Detectives with the Graves County Sheriff's office conducted the traffic stop on US 45 North near the intersection of KY 849. Deputies said they detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, three large duffle bags were found in the backseat containing approximately 40 pounds of marijuana packaged in one pound containers. Officers also seized approximately $1,000 in cash.
According to detectives, the street value of the marijuana is between $45,000 and $60,000.
Arrested were 41-year-old Aaron Cooper, 46-year-old Timothy Brown and 30-year-old Amanda Rowell, all from Mayfield and Graves County.
Cooper is charged with trafficking in marijuana over five pounds, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. Brown and Rowell are charged with complicity to trafficking marijuana over five pounds and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All three were lodged in the Graves County Jail.
