Authorities say a major supplier of marijuana in Graves County is behind bars after a traffic stop Saturday netted three drug arrests and the seizure of approximately 40 pounds of hydroponic medical grade marijuana.

Detectives with the Graves County Sheriff's office conducted the traffic stop on US 45 North near the intersection of KY 849. Deputies said they detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, three large duffle bags were found in the backseat containing approximately 40 pounds of marijuana packaged in one pound containers. Officers also seized approximately $1,000 in cash.

According to detectives, the street value of the marijuana is between $45,000 and $60,000.
