Woman arrested after her vehicle was discovered in a ditch

A woman was arrested Monday for leaving the scene of an accident after her vehicle was found on its side in a ditch. 

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office said 49-year-old Kristi Morrison, who is reportedly homeless, was arrested after the vehicle she was driving was found in the ditch on Houser Road.

Morrison left the scene of the crash and was located a few hours later.

Morrison was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license, failure to produce insurance and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Authorities also learned Morrison had an outstanding warrant issued out of McCracken County. The warrant was served by the Benton Police department.
