Kentucky state trooper killed in motorcycle accident near Bowling Green

A Kentucky State Police Trooper assigned to Post 2 was killed in a motorcycle crash in Warren County on Tuesday morning.

Kentucky State Police said Trooper Jonathan Johnson of Bowling Green had been a trooper for nine years and served Muhlenberg County.

He was pronounced deceased by the Warren County Coroner’s Office just before 11 a.m. The crash is still under investigation by Kentucky State Police Post 3.

Police say he graduated in 1992 and received the post's ‘Detective of the Year’ honor in 2019.

Information regarding funeral arrangements has not been released.
