Kentucky Senator Rand Paul is taking his challenges of Dr. Anthony Fauci and the government's handling of the COVID pandemic and putting it in print.
Paul has just released his new book from Regnery Publishing, Deception: The Great Covid Coverup. In it, he states that the kind of research that created the virus would not have been funded had Fauci not bypassed scrutiny from a safety committee, then tried to cover it up following what Paul believes to be an accidental leak from a virology lab in China.
Paul told West Kentucky Star, "Then he also went to great lengths to try to ridicule anybody who thought this came from the lab. And it took over a year and a half, maybe two years, until gradually the scientific community woke up."
Paul said he discovered in writing the book that eight different agencies were spending hundreds of millions of dollars on this type of research, not only in China but around the world. He said that scientists have been taking these viruses and mixing them with others to see what would happen.
The Senator joins other experts in saying that this kind of research is too risky for humanity. "There are many scientists, now, that say that's a gamble that civilization shouldn't take, that this could really risk civilization as we know it if they create a virus that has something like a 50% mortality and wipes out half the planet."
In the book, Paul breaks down the evidence against the virus spreading from an animal. He said they tested 80,000 animals in China and never found an animal with the virus, which goes directly against Fauci's claims.
Paul went on to say that the numbers show that the lockdowns and mandates just took away individual freedoms and did not stop the spread.
