Frances Coleman Roberts

Mrs. Eleanor Frances Coleman Roberts passed away Friday, November 3, 2023, after a long and healthy life.   She lived on Forrest Coleman Trail and later moved to Hickory Woods.  
 
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest Coleman and Elaine Cunningham Coleman; her husband of 38 years, Guthrie Roberts; brothers and spouses James (Betty) Coleman, Charles (Rheanetta) Coleman; stepdaughter Rosalee Roberts Parrish Wilson; and step-grandson Bill Wilson.
 
Frances was born in Backusburg, KY on December 26, 1920.  She and her parents moved to St. Louis when she was 6 years old, where her father worked at Fisher-Price.  The family returned to Murray, KY, after James was born.  Frances graduated from Kirksey High School, and married Guthrie Roberts, who worked in Detroit and for TVA.  Frances worked at the Soil Improvement Association and Belk-Settle.  She retired from Southern States Cooperative.  Frances attended North Pleasant Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Grace Baptist Church.
 
Frances is survived by step-granddaughter Malinda Wilson Pate (Dudley), step-grandson Chris Wilson (Sherry), nieces Kathryn Coleman and Suzanne Coleman and nephews David Coleman and Scott Coleman.  She also leaves behind additional family members on both sides of her family.
 
Frances will be laid to rest at a graveside service on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 10 am, at the Murray City Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, Frances requested donations be made to the North Pleasant Grove Cemetery, where many Cunningham family members are buried.
