Helen "Marie" Jones

Mrs. Helen “Marie” Gibson Jones, 85, of Murray, KY passed away Monday, November 6, 2023 at Mills Nursing & Rehabilitation in Mayfield, KY.

Born December 23, 1937 in Mayfield, KY, Marie was the daughter of the late William Thomas “Hardrock” Gibson and Ruth Frances (Turnbow) Gibson and the widow of Rural C. “R.C.” Jones, to whom she was married for 49 years, before his passing in 2017.  She worked for many years as a manager for Printing Services, was an avid UK basketball fan and a devoted member of Glendale Road Church of Christ. 

In addition to her husband, Marie was preceded in death by her daughter Laurel Lee (McClain) Wilson and a sister, Carolyn Cornett.

Those left to cherish her memory are her grandsons, Joshua Wilson, Thomas Wilson and Daniel Wilson, all of Murray, KY; and great grandchildren, Laurel Wilson, Sarah Wilson, Logan Barney, and Lola Barney, all of Murray, KY. 

Per Marie’s wishes, no public visitation or funeral services will be held.
