James T. "Jim" Barrow

James Tilghman “Jim” Barrow passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 9, 2025, in Virginia.
 
Born in Murray, KY on August 22, 1966, Jim was the son of the late Rev. Hal Tilghman Barrow and Mary (Adams) Barrow of New Concord, KY.  Jim honorably served his country in both the U.S. Navy and the Army National Guard and worked 23 years for Oceaneering International in Virginia.
 
In addition to his mother, Jim is survived by his wife, Tanya Barrow; children C.J. (Amy) Barrow, Rebecca (Brandon) Harris, and Morgan Barrow; grandchildren, Shelby (Matt), Carl, Alyssa, Staley, Michael, Remington, and Ashton; and a brother, Ricky (Emily) Barrow.  Many special nieces and nephews also survive, along with his best fur friend “Princess Lucy”.
 
Jim was preceded in death by his father Rev. Hal Tilghman Barrow; as well as grandparents Bill and Rachel Adams, Tilghman and Rebecca Barrow, and Bonus Grandmother Jesse (Jones) Roberts-Barrow.

Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Jim’s life, which will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., at Amory Funeral Home in Yorktown, Virginia.
