Mary Janice Bryant Renick was born on February 17, 1934, in Edmondson County, Kentucky, to Robert Jennings Bryant and Lorene Johnson Bryant. She died in Murray, Kentucky, on April 10, 2025.

Janice graduated from Brownsville High School in1952. She continued her education at Bowling Green Business University. On December 22, 1960, she married Andrew Renick of Bowling Green, and the couple had 44 years together. They built a loving home and family, raising three sons and a daughter. Janice cherished her family and loved hosting gatherings throughout the year. She was a wonderful cook and took great pleasure in preparing delicious meals. Nothing made her happier than having her children, grandchildren, and extended family around her table. The laughter and stories shared during these times together will remain in our hearts forever.

Janice worked as a secretary, retail salesperson, and as a paraprofessional at Todd County Central High School where her husband was the principal for many years.  She loved the years at TCCHS working with her husband and being with the students. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Murray.

Loved ones preceding Janice in death include her parents; her brother, Charles Rexford Bryant; her husband, Andrew Renick; son, John Jennings May; and grandson, Parker Mason Renick.
