Mrs. Nancy J. (Bishop) Futrell, 92 of Murray, KY passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023, at AHC-Paris, Paris, TN.
Born October 29, 1931, in Erin, TN, she was the daughter of the late Bernice Franklin and Vennie Lenora (Curtis) Bishop. Nancy was a devoted mother and was a member of Poplar Spring Baptist Church, Murray, KY.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Reta (Ronnie) Gray of Murray, KY; sons, Steve (Janice) Futrell of East Alton, IL, Jimmy Futrell, Bob (Judy) Futrell and Marty Futrell all of Murray, KY; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Futrell, on February 10, 1988, whom she married on June 10, 1952, in Corinth, MS. She was also preceded by her brothers, Charles F. Bishop and Wiley Bishop; and sisters, Geneva Bell, Myrtle Garner, Agnes Self, Nell McCuiston and Joyce Robinson.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home in Murray, KY with Marty Futrell and Rev. Brett Miles officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Hicks Cemetery, Murray, KY.
Friends may visit with the family Tuesday, November 7, 2023, between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home, 713 S. 4th St., Murray, KY 42071.
