Betty Sue Welsh

Mrs. Betty Sue Welsh, 87, of Salem, KY, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at Lake Barkley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Kuttawa. Betty was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. She loved fishing, flowers, mowing her yard, and most of all her family. Especially her grand and great grandchildren. She is survived by three sons, Gary Leon (Jill) Haney, James Anthony (Norma) Ramage, and Michael Daren Welsh, all of Salem; grandchildren, Cody Ramage of Salem, Bobby Darren Ramage of Salem, Donetta (Anthony) Dawdy of Marshall County, Emalee (Chris) Sisk of Indiana, and Bailey Welsh of Salem; great grandchildren, Cyia and Felcity Ramage and Sabrina Jo Sisk. Betty was preceded in death per husband, Michael James Patrick Welsh; sisters, Ann Lois Johnson, Mary Ruth Hardin, and Nettie Hardin; brothers, Franklin and Billy Haney; one great grandchild; and her parents, Frank and Birdie Snyder Haney. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 1 PM, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services. Burial will follow in Tyner’s Chapel Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 11 AM until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
