Don Adrian Grimes

Mr. Don Adrian Grimes, 87 of Salem, KY. Known to most as “Ducky” passed away   Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Salem Springlake Nursing Home.
Don was born on December 10, 1938 to the late Orbin “Cot” and Thelma (Guess) Grimes. He graduated in 1957 from Salem High School. On August 24, 1957 he married his high school sweetheart, Geraldine. He retired from the Ky Hwy Dept/Livingston Co. Road Dept. after 33 years. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
Don is survived his wife of 68 years, Geraldine; two sons, Greg (Vickie) of Cincinnati, OH, Ronnie of Salem, and one daughter, Adrienne (Alan) Jackson of Kevil; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He is also survived by a brother, Orbin “Tootie” (Doris)  Grimes of Paducah and sister- in- law Wanda Grimes of Calvert City.
Besides his parents, Don was preceded in death by his son Stephen, grand-daughter Summer, and brother Lo.
Funeral service will be Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 2 PM in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors. 
Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday June 6, 2026 from 11 AM - 2:00 PM in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services.
