Mr. Don Hayden Phillips, 95, of Burna, KY, passed away Saturday, June 1 at his home in Burna, KY.
Don was born April 30, 1929 in Burna, KY. He was a Korean War Veteran, a dedicated member of the Burna Fire Department and Dyer Hill Baptist Church. Don began driving trucks for Chipps Brothers and retired after 31 years with McLean Trucking Company. After retirement he worked two years for Sumner County Sheriff’s Office in Gallatin, TN. He was a 74-year member of Salem Masonic Lodge 81, a 72-year member of American Legion Post 217, a member of Scottish Rite and Rispah Shrine of Madisonville, KY.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Katie Phillips; parents, Vernon and Thelma Warren Phillips; sister, Vernelle Dunkerson; brother, Joe Phillips and Stacy Doom who was like a daughter to him.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services with Bro. Randy Beals officiating. 
Masonic Rites will be conducted at 12 noon.
Burial will follow in Dyer Hill Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 11.00 until the funeral hour in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Legion Post 217 or Shriner’s Hospital for children through Shrine at Madisonville, KY.
