Mr. Harold Gene Harris

Mr. Harold Gene Harris, 76, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at his home in Salem. He enjoyed horseback riding, John Wayne movies and Gunsmoke. He was a member of New Union General Baptist Church. Harold is survived by; his wife of 48 years Alma Jean (Jeannie) Harris; daughter, Juanita Evita (Pete) Shaffer of Salem: brother, David (Tina) Harris of Salem; sister, Vonda (Billy) Todd of Salem; 3 grandchildren, Katerina (Jeremy) Wring of Salem, Ethan Shaffer of Salem, Logan Shaffer of Salem and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by; brother, Wayne Harris and parents William Harold “Preacher” and Mary Sue (Watson) Harris. Funeral Services will be Friday, May 1, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services. Burial will follow at New Union General Baptist Church Cemetery.
