Annette Sutherland

Annette Sutherland, 82 of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Providence Pointe Healthcare in Paducah, Kentucky.

Born Thursday, July 1, 1943 in Symsonia, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Sherman Smith and the late Emma Thompson  Smith. 

She was a member of New Harmony Missionary Baptist Church. 

Surviving are her son, Brooks Sutherland (Necie); grandsons, Tyler Sutherland (Allie), Rylen Sutherland (Bailey) and Dyllan Simmons and  great grandchild, Burklee Jo Sutherland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Brook Sutherland, her parents and sister, Jenne Holley.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Collier Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Scott Penick and Dyllan Simmons officiating.

Burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 11, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Collier Funeral Home located at 211 West 5th Street Benton, KY 42025. 270-527-3141.
