Belinda K. Knecht

Mrs. Belinda K. Knecht, age 81 of Calvert City, KY went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 30, 2026, Marshall County Hospital in Benton, KY.


Belinda was born on August 19th, 1945 to the late Rudy Bailey and the late Ruby Moore Bailey. She was a selfless and genuine woman whose life was defined by her love and devotion to others. She consistently placed the needs of her family and those around her before her own, giving freely of her time, energy, and heart. She was a woman who was always caring for someone, rarely taking time to sit down herself, and always willing to lend a helping hand.


Belinda was a member of Southland Baptist Temple and was faithful servant of the Lord. She lived her faith through her compassion, generosity, and love for others. She was a devoted wife and mother, cherished grandmother, loving sister, and dear friend. Her kindness, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family will be remembered and treasured by all who knew and loved her.


Belinda is survived by her loving husband, George Knecht; her beloved children, Dana (Mark) Mayo, Cindy (Jeff) Flischel, Shane Coomer, and Lendie Coomer; her stepsons, Michael (Patty) Knecht, Dale (Laura) Guidry, Kenny (Shannon) Guidry; sisters, Leota Inglish and Janet Smith; her grandchildren, Shelley Neihoff, Terry Coomer, Joshua Cook, Shiana Coomer, Emilee Shanks, Jesse Mayo, Brandon Wilson, Jacob Haskamp, Brooke Wilson, Alyssa Wallace, Austin Flischel, Gray Flischel, and Adilynn Wallace; 12 great-grandchildren with one on the way, and many beloved nieces and nephews.


Preceding her in death include a son, Dean Coomer; a step-daughter, Denise Titze; sisters, Malva Jean Stovall and Shirley Vinson, her parents, Ruby and Rudy Bailey; and her former husband Kenneth Coomer.


Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday September 12th, 2026 at Collier Funeral Home Inc.


A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday September 12th, 2026 at Collier Funeral Home Inc. Burial will follow at Fooks Cemetery.


A celebration of life will be held at the East Marshall Fire Department located at 7584 Moors Camp Hwy following burial services.
