Charles Wayne Collins

Charles Wayne Collins, age 66, of Mayfield, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky.  

He was born on Monday, May 30, 1960 in Paducah, KY to the late Charles Lewis Collins and the late Lois Marie York Collins. Up until retirement, Charles worked as a welder at Precision Metal. He loved being outdoors, whether it was riding four-wheelers or spending time with his grandchildren. He was a kid at heart. He enjoyed sports, politics, woodworking, and meeting new people.

He is survived by his loving partner of over 20 years, Gala Kaler of Mayfield; one son, Arron Collins of Benton; two daughters, Amanda Hayden of Brookport, Illinois and Ashley Collins of Murray; one stepdaughter, Amanda Clapp (Michael) of Mayfield; five grandchildren, Hannah DeLeon (Pablo) of Benton, Austin Edwards of Benton, Kylie Downey of New Albany, Mississippi, Jace Collins of Brookport, IL, and Bennett Coddington of Murray; one great grandchild, Weston Edwards, and a baby boy on the way; three sisters, Karen Stephens of Calvert City, Debbie Harper of Hardin, and Sandy Miller of Benton; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his daughter, April Collins; one brother, David Collins; as well as his parents.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Collier Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Marshall County Memory Gardens.
