Dolores J. Belt

Dolores Jean Belt was born on March 2, 1942 and went to be with the Lord on June 14, 2025.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Duane G. Belt, her son Gary D. Belt, her parents, Helen Burgess and Arthur Duhaime, and her sister, Marion Phelps (Ernest Gilbert).  

She is survived by a daughter, Kristy Coker (George III), along with her sister and brother, Donna Masiulis (John) and Robert Burgess (Susan), and several nieces and nephews.

Dolores was born in Detroit, MI where she lived until 1973, when the family moved to Calvert City, KY after which she moved to the Reidland area in 2006.  She moved to Bowling Green, KY in October of 2024 to be nearer to her daughter.

She worked for 30 years in the Billing Department at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah and after her retirement, she was an active member of the Marshall County Extension Homemakers in Benton, KY from 2004 through 2022 where she served as Secretary for 4 of those years. She was an active and long time member of Little Cypress Baptist Church in Calvert City, KY. 

There will be a visitation and gathering of friends at Little Cypress Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 10 AM until 12 PM, with interment to follow at Fooks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Lone Oak Animal Clinic 125 Augusta Ave Paducah, KY 42003, please denote that it is to go to the McGansters Account.. She loved and misses her "Sweetie Pie", Luci, and supports the work done by McGangsters. Dolores will be missed by all that knew her.
