JT Allcock, age 95, of Symsonia, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, August 26, 2026, surrounded by his family at his home.
JT was born in Symsonia on February 8, 1931, to the late Hiram Thomas Allcock and the late Elsie Kinney Allcock. He was a member of Clarks River Baptist Church and attended New Harmony Baptist Church. JT was a long-time member of Masonic Lodge #917 of Symsonia. He worked many jobs throughout his lifetime, but he was most proud to be the owner and operator of the Kaler Feed Mill. In his free time, JT could be found in his happy place, his cabin in the River Bottoms.
He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Cooper of Symsonia; his son, Tommy Allcock (Melissa) of Symsonia; three grandchildren, John Cooper (Stephanie), Brian Allcock, and Justin Cooper; four great grandchildren, Abby Cooper, Summer Parmer (Jordan), Brody Smallman, and Hallee Smallman; three great-great grandchildren, Tilly, Tatum, and Jackson Bree; as well as his special friend, Beulah Reid.
JT was preceded in death by his parents, Hiram and Elsie Allcock; brothers, Kinnie Allison, Victor Allcock and Roger Allcock; and sisters, Lela Wood, Lillian Kaler, and Kathleen Stegmann.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations made to the Masonic Lodge #917 P.O. Box 257, Symsonia, KY 42082 or Clarks River Cemetery.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Collier Funeral Home, Inc. with Bro. Jeff Collins and Bro. Scott Penick officiating. Burial will follow at Clarks River Cemetery in Symsonia.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Collier Funeral Home Inc.
