Jimmie L. Watkins

Jimmie L. Watkins, 84 of Tatumsville, Kentucky passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025 at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky.

Jimmie was born in Lyon County on October 9, 1940 to the late A.B. Watkins and Eva Brooks Watkins.  He was a graduate of class 1959 at Civic Memorial High School and went on to serve our country in the United States Air Force.  Jimmie retired from Ford Motor Co. as a stocker.  Alongside his wife, Susan, Jimmie was very involved with all his children's boy and girl scout activities.  He was the former District Commissioner of Trails West Counsel, Wood Badge Counselor and served as a Scout Master.  Jimmie was also a Silver Beaver and Order of the Arrow recipient.  He was a member of Kentucky Lake Calvery Church.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Susan Sanders Watkins; two sons, Paul Watkins of Tatumsville, KY and Steven Watkins (Bill Adams) of Palm Springs, CA; daughter, Barbara Jo Domrese (Jeffry) of Tell City, IN; two brothers, Harold Watkins (Jan) of Cottage Hills, IL and Danny Watkins (Lynda) of E. Alton, IL; sister, Shirley Frazier (Jim) of Bethalto, IL; granddaughter, Olivia Joyce Domrese; granddaughter-in-law, Abigal Clark; three great-grandchildren, Celia, Sophia and Skyler Domrese; and several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandsons, Andrew Heath Watkins and Zachary Gary Domrese.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
