John Scott

John Carson Scott, age 66, of Benton, KY, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Mr. Scott was retired as an electrician for the Dept. of Defense and was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church in Paducah, KY. 

He was the son of the late John V. Scott and the late Billie K (Stewart) Scott.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years: Karen (Peck) Scott of Benton, KY; two daughters: Kara Beth of Benton, KY and Katelyn Rose Scott of Benton, KY; two sisters: Linda S. Scott of Paducah, KY and Barbara A. Clarke (Dennis) of St. Louis, MO; sister-in-law: Cindy Williams (Dan) of Paducah, KY; brother-in-law: Kerry Peck (Terry) of Paducah, KY; mother-in-law; Rosemary Peck of Benton, KY; nephews: Brian Clark of St. Louis, MO, Luke Williams (Bryanna) of Paducah, KY, and Jacob Williams (Rachel) of New Orleans, LA; several nieces, nephews, friends and most of all his loyal friend Daisy.  

Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, April 28, 2026.  Funeral service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 29, 2026, with Gary Watkins officiating. Interment will be at Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.
