Kimberley Downs Mounts

Kimberley Downs Mounts, 58 of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Marshall Co. Hospital in Benton, Kentucky.

Kimberley was born in McCracken County, Kentucky on April 28, 1967, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Jane Hooper Cathers.  Over the years, she greeted hundreds of students with a warm smile and a comforting meal in the cafeteria at Jonathan Elementary School.  Kimberley was an excellent cook and enjoyed watching cooking shows when she wasn't at work or in the kitchen at home.  She loved to travel and go kayaking but above all, she adored all of her grandchildren and dog, Toby.

She is survived by her husband, Everett Mounts of Benton, KY;  son, Timothy Downs, Jr. and wife, Chanlie of Benton, KY; daughter, Jennifer Culp of Gilbertsville, KY; step-sons, Everett Mounts, II and wife, Sarah of Benton, KY & Cesar Mounts of Mayfield, KY; step-daughter, Sindi Clayton and husband, Caleb of Lone Oak, KY; one brother, Scott Hooper and wife, Stephanie of Louisville, KY; nephews, Hayden Hooper & Holden Hooper; 15 grandchildren, Lane Haynes, Chandler Downs, Kennedy Downs, Addleigh Culp, Kinzlee Culp, Bentley Culp, Briley Culp, Devan Mounts, Lacy Mounts, Willow Mounts, Corbin Clayton, Sawyer Clayton, Elley Mounts, Enzo Mounts and Noah Chilton.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Timothy Downs, Sr. and her parents.

A funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home with Everett Mounts, II officiating.  Interment will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery in Paducah, KY.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, Kentucky.
