Marian I. Wescott
September 6, 1934 – May 3, 2025
Marian (Summers) Bauguss Wescott passed away peacefully at the Waters of Covington, Indiana, on Friday, May 3rd, 2025.
She was born in Perrysville, Indiana, to the late Marion and Mabel (Gray) Summers.
Survived by brother Robert (Barbara) Summers - Louisville, KY, daughter Jeanne Crews (Chuck Carver) - Greenup, IL, and son Mike (Raquel) Stultz - Covington, IN.
Grandchildren: John Sutherlin, Susan (Johnny) Howard, Travis (Amy) Hockenbury, Karie (Eric) Linke, Nicole (Jamaal) Wilson, and Logan (Staci) Stultz.
13 Great Grandchildren: John Sutherlin Jr., Lindsay, Alex, Zach, Madison, Jack, Alexa, Colby, Gannon, Lennon, Madeline, Declan, and Cameron.
5 Great Great Grandchildren: Caroline, Quinn, Charlotte, Baker, and Sutton.
Many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who were all very special to her.
Preceded in death by brothers Max (Cora) Summers and Jerry (Martha) Summers, sister Martha Ann (Rendall) Johnson. Husbands Robert Stultz, Richard Hockenbury, Frank Bauguss, and Doug Wescott. Son Larry Hockenbury and grandson Justin Hockenbury.
Marian and Frank were founding members of Kentucky Lake Mission Church in Gilbertsville, Kentucky. Marian has attended Covington United Methodist Church in Covington, Indiana, for the past five years.
She retired from General Electric in Danville, IL, in 1980. She and Frank moved to Kentucky, making their vacation home their permanent residence. Marian worked at Patti’s 1880s Settlement restaurant and shops for over 20 years. Using her eye for design and love for interior décor, she opened their Reflections shop, which is still in business today. She enjoyed retirement in Bonita Springs, FL, moving back to Covington in 2019 to be near family. Marian loved her flowers and animals, but her most treasured time was with family and friends, usually involving large amounts of food, laughs, and adventure.
A graveside service will be held at Moorland Cemetery on Thursday, May 8th, at 1 p.m., officiated by Pastor Danny Holt of Kentucky Lake Mission Church.
