Marilyn "Marly" Brasel

Mrs. Marilyn (Marly) Brasel, age 81 of Gilbertsville, KY passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026 surrounded by loved ones at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.  She was retired from the State of Illinois where she worked as an executive secretary.  She immensely enjoyed her retirement, and was involved in a variety of activities.  She loved photography, camping, boating, and anything outdoors.  She loved spending time with her family, playing board games, cards, and singing karaoke.  She was also a member of the VFW Post 1197 Auxiliary, and was a notably excellent proofreader.

Born Sunday, February 11, 1945 in Lock Haven, PA, she was the daughter of the late Neal Butters and Edna Robinson.

Surviving are her husband of 36 years, Larry Brasel of Gilbertsville, KY. Sons, Robert Leadingham (Caroline) of Saint Charles, IL, Jeffrey Leadingham of Vancouver, British Columbia, Steven Leadingham of Chicago, IL, brothers, Gavin Robinson of Jacksonville, FL, Gary Robinson of Jacksonville, FL, Grandchildren: Nichole Grob (Richard), Robert Leadingham, Jr. (Elsa), Joseph Leadingham (Stephanie), Kyle Leadingham (Nicole) Stella Leadingham, Sam Leadingham. Great-grandchildren: Aiden Leadingham, Paxton Grob, Maverick Grob, Nora Leadingham, Abel Leadingham, Sage Leadingham and Joshua Leadingham.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Robert Robinson and Mark Robinson.
