Mark Holmes

Mark Darrell Holmes, 58, of Calvert City passed away on May 22, 2025 at Continue Care Hospital at Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah.

He was born in Paducah on March 1, 1967 to Wendell Holmes and Janice Woods. Mark worked as a mechanic at Marshall County Battery and Golf Carts. He enjoyed his work so much that he spent his spare time working on his own personal golf cart. Mark could also be found tinkering on various projects in his shed.

He is survived his children, Austin Holmes, of Benton and Taylor Gile (Shaun) of Calvert City; his mother, Janice Albright Woods; two brothers, Brad Holmes (Robin) of Benton and Michael Holmes (Kim) of Benton; and one grandchild, Madison Gile.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Wendell Holmes.

There will be no public services, private family services will be held at a later date.
