In Loving Memory of Megan Makenzi Lane, January 23,1979-June 7,2025.

Megan M. Lane was born in Buffalo New York, grew up in Cookeville Tennessee,
currently residing in Las Vegas Nevada, passed away on June 7,2025 at the
age of 46.

Megan graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in landscape
design. She was known for her vibrant spirit, infectious fun personality,
unforgettable laugh, compassion and unconditional love for others,
especially for her family. Megan had an unbreakable bond with her mother
Julia, a closeness that will always be cherished. Megan and her sister
Molly, had a deep connection from the very beginning, a love for one another
that will never fade.

Megan once said her favorite name she was ever called was "Aunt Megan", she
had a tremendous amount of love shared between her nephew Mason and nieces
Addison and Natalie.

Megan is survived by her Mother Julia Lane-Hiltz; Stepfather Richard
Hiltz; Father Jim Thompson (Ann); adopted Father Phillip Poteet (Emy); Sister
Molly Poteet (Mark); nephew Mason Garvin; nieces Addison Garvin and Natalie
Luther; Stepsisters, Rachella Hiltz; Sara Hiltz; Stephanie
Rennaker (Jason); April Potter (Kort); Cherity Simons (Jordan), Stepbrothers
Kevin Hiltz (Misty) and Justin Prince.

Megan is preceded in death by her Grandparents Bruce and Jane Lane of
Murray, KY; George and Betty Poteet of Cookeville, TN; Jim and Virginia
Thompson of Las Vegas, NV; Ted and Maxine Hiltz of Salt Lake City, UT.

Megan will be deeply missed and forever loved until we meet again.

A grave site memorial service will be on June 21, 2025 at Hematite Cemetery
in Ferguson Spring, KY near Taylor Bay, Land Between the Lakes at 1:00pm.

Everyone is welcome to meet us at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th Street
Benton, KY at 12:00pm to caravan to the cemetery.
