Micheal E. Castleberry

Michael E. Castleberry, 75 of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, Kentucky.

Born Monday, October 30, 1950 in Paducah, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Paul Castleberry and the late Lillie Rudolph Castleberry. Micheal was a retired welder for James Marine in Paducah, KY. He was a member of the Fairdealing Church of Christ. He enjoyed watching his son perform and become a professional musician in Nashville.

Surviving are son, Micheal Paul Castleberry (Andrea Hutchison) of Nashville,TN; daughter, Judith Gupton (Kevin) of Pigeon Forge, TN; sisters, Paula Bell (Jerry) of Benton, KY and Sharon Thompson (Phillip) of Benton, KY; grandchildren, Rae Gupton (fiancé Brendan) and Sarah Gupton-Strahan (Riley); nieces, Madonna Boone of Benton and Jennifer Taylor (David) of Murray; nephews, Shannon Thompson (Shelia) of Driftwood, TX, Greg Thompson (Amanda) of Paducah, Andy Thompson of Benton and Jeremy Bell (Stacey) of Murray.

He was preceded in death by his parent, his wife of 44 years, Irma Jane (Boros) Castleberry.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Spring Creek Healthcare and to the Guardian Staff as well.

A graveside service will be on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Marshall County Memory Gardens with Jack Newberry officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 8, 2026 from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM at Collier Funeral Home located at 211 West 5th Street Benton, KY 42025. 270-527-3141.
