Nathan Harrington

Nathaniel "Nate Dog" Harrington, age 49, of Calvert City, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Mercy Health- Lourdes Hospital.

He was born in Paducah on August 22, 1976, to Michael "Mike" Harrington and the late Debbie Gentry Harrington. He was a proud Christian and worked as a machinist at Global Group in Metropolis, Illinois.

Nathan always kept himself busy and had many passions. He loved visiting the gun club and shoot his guns. Nathan was a talented mechanic and would work on his racecar (a mustang) in between races. Nathan's children brought him the most joy in life. Nathan's fondest memories were of his kids on one of their swimming trips or vacations; he cherished every moment he was able to spend with them.

Nathan is survived by his wife, Tammy Riley Harrington; two sons, Ethan Harrington of Benton and Haygan Bratcher of Powderly, Kentucky; one daughter, Evelyn Harrington of Benton; a great niece, Leyla Riley of Calvert City; his father, Mike Harrington; as well as several cousins. Nathan was known to have never met a stranger and became friends with everyone he met. A few of those friends became more like brothers; they include Brett O'Daniel, Stanely Sutton, and Brian Strow.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Debbie Harrington; his maternal grandmother, Orpha "Memaw" Gentry; and his paternal grandparents, Paul and Evelyn Harrington.

The family of Nathan Harrington would like to express their deepest gratitude to Global Group for the kindness, generosity, and support they have shown during this incredibly difficult time.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Twin Lakes Worship Center, 4166 US Hwy 641 North, Benton, KY 42025, with Bro. Jeremy Short officiating. Burial will follow at Calvert City Cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Twin Lakes Worship Center, 4166 US Hwy 641 North, Benton, KY 42025.
