Phyllis "Phil" Darlene Poe

Phyllis "Phil" Darlene Poe, 91 of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky.

Phil was born in Benton, Kentucky on November 4, 1934 she was the daughter of the late Luther Thompson and Zera Gordon Thompson.  She was a homemaker and loved to sew, cook and go shopping.  More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and greats.  Phil was a founding member of North Marshall Church of Christ. 

She is survived by her son, Edwin "Dane" Poe of Fairdealing; daughter, Marsha Poe-Reed of Benton; brother, Gary Wayne Thompson (Maryanna) of Paducah; seven grandchildren, Mandy Puskarich (Gabe), Danelle Poe, Breanna Poe, Chandra Wiley (Mason), MaKensie Reed, Shawn Michael Keys and Aaron Jesy Keys; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Thomas "Edwin" Poe; daughter, Debra Poe; brothers, Jackie Thompson, Wendell Thompson and Shan Thompson; sister, Anna Myrle Byerley; her parents and grandson, Jason Keys.

A graveside service will be at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Marshall Co. Memory Gardens with Gary Knuckles officiating. 

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, Kentucky.
