Robert Gary Melton

Robert Gary Melton, 63 of Gilbertsville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023.

Robert was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on November 3, 1960 to the late Bobby Melton and Wanda Timmons Melton.  He worked as a painter for Burnett Custom Homes.  Robert served our country as an airman in the United States Air Force.  He found peace when fishing and listening to music.  Robert was full of useless facts who excelled at trivia and could always make you laugh by telling his jokes.  He was a member of First Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jen Wells Melton; his daughter, Sarah Gordon and husband, John of Zionsville, IN; one brother, David Melton of Murray; three sisters, Jolynn Vinson of Benton, Suzanne McKnight and husband, David of Doniphan, MO and Linda Pritchett of Benton; and one grandson, Turner Gordon.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Melton and Richard Melton; and his parents.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Collier Funeral Home with Rev. Jada McWilliams officiating.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, Kentucky.
